Not only does Chimera Climbing Centre provide an exhilarating climbing environment, with a variety of different surfaces, and a range of modern facilities, we also run a complete range of beginner's courses. We insist on high quality and regular route setting from renowned professional guest setters. The Centre has a full-size competition wall, top-out boulder, a roof section, a dedicated training area with campus board, circuit board with sport routes, 40 Degree board, finger boards and more. We host our own regular competitions, and organize team events at other venues. You can hire climbing shoes from reception, so you don't need any special equipment or training. Just turn-up and climb. The Centre has a café area with ethically sourced teas and coffees and a wide range of organics gourmet snacks, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Chimera Climbing Centre also boasts a climbing shop, stocking everything from chalk and bags to climbing shoes, clothing, local guidebooks and footwear. We pride ourselves with having friendly, knowledgeable and personable staff, and we always put your enjoyment and safety first. We want to create a social atmosphere for all comers.
